COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Sisters Network, Inc. Gift for Life Block Walk
The Affiliate chapters of Sisters Network Inc. collaborate with organizations and community groups to coordinate the promotion of breast health awareness in the African American community. This innovative program allows members and volunteers to canvas door-to-door in under-served areas and distributes breast health educational information and resource list. Every individual reached is invited back to a local church or community center to hear information provided by a medical person and to hear a survivor story. A boxed lunch is also provided.
Sisters Network, Inc. Pink Ribbon Awareness Campaign
The pink ribbon is the national symbol for breast cancer awareness. The Pink Ribbon Awareness Project is our national faith based educational outreach program that reaches women in church with information on how to access breast care services and resources. The focus of this project is to increase the number of women obtaining mammograms and general knowledge.

Requests for Health Fair Participation

Breast Cancer Assistance Program (BCAP) – established to provide financial assistance to women facing financial challenges during treatment stage. This program correlates with our efforts to educate the community and advocate early detection for a successful treatment.
Pink Basket of Hope – a basket filled with items for the newly diagnose woman or man with breast cancer may need to help make their treatment phase a little more tolerable. This basket is hand delivered by the members who encourage and share their journey with the new sister or brother.
